Eco-Duck Farming with Recirculating Water System
Eco-Duck Farming with Recirculating Water System
Project Background
Wangjia Village Waterfowl Cooperative, with 300 mu of duck ponds, faced severe water eutrophication (ammonia nitrogen 2.3× over standard) and unstable duck egg production (±15% fluctuation) under traditional methods, costing ¥450,000 annually in water fees. In 2023, the cooperative adopted Baimu Machinery’s customized recirculating water manure removal system, establishing Shandong’s first “duck-fish symbiosis” eco-farming demonstration site.
Technical Breakthroughs
- Baimu engineered a three-loop system tailored for waterfowl:
- Floating Manure Remover: Automatically collects droppings during duck activity, preventing bottom fermentation;
- Biofilter + Water Purification Tower: Processes 100% ammonia nitrogen, meeting Class I standards of GB 18596-2001;
- Duck-Fish Symbiosis Module: Treated slurry flows to fish ponds, where fish consume organic particles.
Industry Value
- This project established a “one water, two uses, three wins” model:
- Economic: ¥230,000 annual profit (duck eggs + fish), 1.8-year ROI;
- Eco: 18 tons less ammonia nitrogen/year, COD reduced to 15mg/L (national standard ≤30mg/L);
