Poultry Feeder Tray Introduction
The poultry feeder tray is simple, low-cost, and easy to use—an essential tool for ensuring uniform feeding and minimizing feed waste.
1. Material
The feeder tray is made of food-grade PP (polypropylene) or ABS engineering plastic—non-toxic, impact-resistant, anti-aging, and smooth to prevent beak injury. Some models feature thickened bases or anti-slip textures for better stability.
2. Types & Sizes
- By use: chick starter trays (shallow) and grower/layer trays (deeper);
- By diameter: common sizes include 30 cm, 35 cm, 40 cm, and 45 cm;
- Can be used standalone or integrated with automatic feed lines.
3. Key Specifications
- Capacity: 1.5–4 kg feed (depending on size);
- Suitable from day-old chicks to adult birds;
- Temperature resistance: -20°C to +70°C;
- Easy to clean and reusable for years.
4. Typical Dimensions
- Diameter: 300–450 mm;
- Height: 40–80 mm (starter trays are shallower, layer trays deeper);
- Bottom opening (if any): compatible with standard feed bin outlets or auger drop tubes.
5. Installation
During brooding, place directly on the floor under a heat lamp. In cage or automated systems, mount the tray on front cage brackets or hang it below the feed line with rods. Keep the tray level and adjust height as birds grow.
