PVC Passive Oxygen Supply Device Introduction
This device is simple, low-cost, and reliable—ideal for supplemental aeration in small-to-medium fish tanks, hatchery cones, or RAS systems, making it a smart choice for energy-efficient aquaculture.
1. Material
Made of food-grade UPVC or CPVC engineering plastic—corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and scale-free. Contains no moving parts; uses water flow-induced negative pressure to automatically draw in air or oxygen for passive dissolution.
2. Available Types
- Connection sizes: DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50 (fits various pipe lines);
- Suitable flow rate: 1 – 30 m³/h (depending on model);
- Can connect to ambient air or pure oxygen supply (requires external regulator & flowmeter).
3. Key Specifications
Operating water pressure: 0.15–0.4 MPa (higher pressure = more air intake);
Dissolved oxygen (DO) boost: +1 to +3 mg/L under standard conditions;
No electricity required—zero energy consumption, maintenance-free;
Max pressure rating: 0.6 MPa.
4. Typical Dimensions
- Overall length: approx. 180 mm;
- Body diameter: Φ40 mm;
- Inlet/outlet: Male thread or union, DN25 (1″);
- Air inlet: Φ6–10 mm (connects to silicone tubing).
5. Installation
Install in-line on the pressurized pipe after the circulation pump (must be in a pressurized section). Can be mounted horizontally or vertically—with air inlet facing upward for unobstructed intake. When using pure oxygen, add a pressure regulator and flow control valve upstream of the air inlet. On first use, verify air suction by observing fine bubbles in the water.
