Farm Wind Curtain / Roll-up Side Curtain Introduction
The wind curtain is low-cost and easy to operate—flexibly regulating temperature, humidity, and airflow. It’s a standard environmental control solution for modern open or semi-open livestock barns.
1. Material
- Curtain fabric: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) woven cloth, double-laminated—UV-resistant and anti-aging;
- Roller tube & frame: Hot-dip galvanized steel or aluminum—rust-proof and durable;
- Pull cord / winder: High-strength polyester rope or stainless steel cable.
2. Available Types
- Height (drop): 1.0 m, 1.5 m, 2.0 m, 2.5 m, 3.0 m;
- Length (span): 3–30 meters (joinable);
- Colors: White (reflective cooling), black (light-blocking insulation), or clear (daylighting).
3. Key Specifications
- Wind resistance: Up to Beaufort scale 8 (with wind ropes);
- Service life: 5–8 years (outdoor use);
- Operation: Manual crank or optional electric motor;
- Light transmittance: ~60% for white, ≥85% for clear.
4. Typical Dimensions (e.g., 2.0 m H × 12 m L)
- Rolled-up diameter: approx. 150–200 mm;
- Roller tube diameter: Φ40–50 mm;
- Bracket spacing: One set every 3–4 meters;
- Total weight: approx. 15–25 kg.
5. Installation
Mount brackets on the gable or side wall top—ensure level alignment. Insert roller tube, unroll curtain to ground, and secure bottom with weighted pipe or ground anchors. For electric models, connect to 220V power and install limit switches. Lower in winter for insulation; roll up in summer for ventilation.
