Chain-Driven Pan Feeder System Introduction

The pan feeder system is simple, reliable, and delivers feed evenly with minimal waste—making it a standard automatic feeding solution in modern poultry farms.

1. Material

Feed pans: Food-grade engineering plastic (e.g., PP or ABS)—smooth, wear-resistant, and gentle on beaks;
Chain: Hot-dip galvanized alloy steel or stainless steel—high tensile strength;
Feed tube: PVC or galvanized steel pipe with smooth interior to minimize feed residue.

  • Suitable for: Layers, breeders, pullets, broilers;
  • Pan diameter: Φ280 mm, Φ320 mm, Φ360 mm;
  • Tube diameter: Φ75 mm, Φ90 mm, Φ110 mm;
  • Max line length: up to 150–200 meters (with proper motor).
  • Motor power: 0.55 kW–1.5 kW (3-phase, 380V);
  • Chain speed: approx. 10–15 meters/minute;
  • Fill level: ≤50% of tube capacity for smooth operation;
  • Control: Timer, PLC, or manual switch.
  • Pan : φ60 mm;
  • Tube wall thickness: 1.0–2.0 mm;
  • Chain pitch: standard 25.4 mm (1 inch);
  • Support bracket spacing: every 2–3 meters.

Install suspension brackets along the ceiling above cages or aisles, securing the feed tube level or with a slight slope (≤2°). Thread the chain through the tube and attach pans, ensuring free rotation. Mount the drive unit at one end and connect via sprocket. Before first start-up, verify rotation direction and run empty, then gradually add feed.
