Chain-Driven Feeder System Drive Unit Introduction

Well-designed pig pens improve stocking density, reduce stress, and enhance management efficiency—serving as essential infrastructure in modern swine farms.

1. Material
  • Main frame: Hot-dip galvanized steel tube (Φ25–Φ48 mm) or 201/304 stainless steel—rust-resistant and durable;
  • Slatted floor: Ductile iron, BMC composite, or precast concrete;
  • Fasteners: Galvanized bolts or welded joints—strong and reliable.
  • Sow stall (for gestating sows): Individual confinement to prevent fighting;
  • Grower-finisher pen (for market hogs): Group housing, 6–12 pigs per pen, with feeder and drinker;
  • Optional: Auto-feed gate, anti-crush bar, heat lamp bracket.
  • Sow stall internal width: 600–650 mm (fits sow body);
  • Grower pen space: 0.8–1.2 m² per pig;
  • Pen height: 900–1000 mm (prevents jumping out);
  • Service life: 8–15 years (in indoor barns).
  •
  • Sow stall: 2100 mm (L) × 650 mm (W) × 950 mm (H);
  • Grower pen (for 10 pigs): 3000 mm × 2500 mm × 950 mm;
  • Post spacing: 1500–2000 mm;
  • Floor slope: 2%–3% (for drainage).

Mark layout on hardened floor per design, then anchor posts with embedded bases or expansion bolts. Assemble horizontal bars, rear gates, and feeder brackets—ensure all connections are tight and free of sharp edges. Align sow stalls in rows for easy manure removal; leave aisles ≥800 mm wide for grower pens. Check overall stability after installation.
