Poultry House Auger Feed Line Introduction
The auger feed line is a core component of modern poultry feeding systems, delivering feed evenly, efficiently, and in a sealed manner—reducing waste and contamination.
1. Material
The auger blade and feed tube are made of high-quality galvanized steel or stainless steel—corrosion-resistant, strong, and compliant with feed hygiene standards. The drive unit housing is made of die-cast aluminum or engineering plastic, dust-proof and water-resistant.
2. Available Sizes
- Auger diameters: commonly Φ45mm,Φ60 mm, Φ76 mm, Φ90 mm;
- Conveying distance: one motor can drive 30–60 meters (depending on model);
- Suitable for: floor-raised, stacked cages, or tiered cage systems.
3. Key Specifications
- Motor power: 0.55 kW or 0.75 kW (380V/50Hz);
- Feed capacity: approx. 800–1500 kg/h;
- Rotation speed: 30–50 rpm;
- Low noise, smooth operation, easy maintenance.
4. Typical Dimensions
- Tube outer diameter: e.g., Φ76 mm (for Φ60 mm auger);
- Standard section length: 2 m or 3 m (customizable);
- Elbow angles: commonly 30°, 45°, 90° for routing around obstacles;
- Drop-out spacing: adjustable (e.g., every 1.5 m) to match cage positions.
5. Installation
Mount the feed tube along the ceiling or above the aisle using support brackets, keeping it level or with a slight slope (≤5°). Install the motor at the start or middle point, insert the auger, and connect it to the drive head. Join sections with flanges or clamps to prevent feed leakage. Align drop-out ports with feed troughs, then power on for test run.
