Evaporative Cooling Pad (Wet Curtain) Introduction
The evaporative cooling pad is a key component of summer climate control in modern swine barns—especially effective in temperate or hot-dry regions (less effective in high-humidity areas).
1. Material
The cooling pad is made of special cellulose paper (e.g., wood pulp + phenolic resin) hot-pressed into a rigid honeycomb structure. It offers high water absorption, mold resistance, and aging resistance. The surface is specially treated for even water distribution and anti-clogging.
2. Available Types
- Common thicknesses: 100 mm, 150 mm;
Both the height and width can be customized.
3. Key Specifications
- Cooling efficiency: 70%–85% (under standard conditions);
- Air velocity through pad: 1.0–1.5 m/s;
- Specific surface area: approx. 400–500 m²/m³;
- Service life: 5–8 years (with proper maintenance).
