Galvanized fish pond Introduction
The galvanized steel tank frame is strong, quick to install, and cost-effective—commonly used as the structural support for land-based, high-density recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).
1. Material
The frame is made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized steel plate (Q235 base), with zinc coating ≥80g/m²—corrosion-resistant and suitable for humid or mildly corrosive aquaculture environments. Structural parts are for high strength and dimensional stability.
2. Available Types
- Common shapes: Round,
- Standard sizes (by diameter or side length): 2m, 3m, 4m, 6m, 8m, etc.;
- Frame height: 1.0m, 1.2m, 1.5m (customizable).
3. Key Specifications
- Steel thickness: 1.0–3.0 mm (selected by tank size);
- Load capacity: Designed to withstand full water pressure when used with liner;
- Service life: 8–15 years (depending on environment and maintenance);
- Requires inner liner: Compatible with PVC, HDPE, or aquaculture-grade waterproof membranes.
4. Typical Dimensions (e.g., 6m dia × 1.2m H round tank frame)
- Outer diameter: 6000 mm;
- Frame height: 1200 mm;
- Base flange/ground beam: 100–150 mm wide for anchoring;
- Modular design: Typically 4–6 curved panels for easy transport and assembly
5. Installation
Install on a level, compacted foundation (concrete or gravel pad). Assemble the galvanized panels in sequence and secure joints with high-strength bolts or welding. Anchor the base to the ground using anchor bolts or expansion screws. After frame installation, line the interior with a waterproof membrane and secure it properly to ensure leak-proof performance.
